Bakpao Laviva

Happy Monday, Guys!!! For today’ post, I will share with you some “cute” bao!!!

Since I’m basically out of job for these three months (which also means I’m VERY free),  beside stay at home and take care of my lovely mother, my other “main job” is google-ing and finding either new or special or fun foods which can be delivered to home =P

Thanks to the power of Google, I can find Bakpao Laviva. I’m so proud of myself happy that I can find this gem in my home town.

After went through their website, I’m so amazed with their creativity. Those bakpao are very cute. They offer quite many option of animal and cartoon character bakpao. I believe that their bakpao will make you drooling.

Without hesitation, I chatted with Bakpao Laviva via whatsapp and ordered 10 pieces of cartoon character bakpao. FYI, 10 pieces are the minimum quantity to order. You can choose any character and flavour filling from their website. The price for each bakpao is IDR15.000 (S$1.80). The total that I spent is IDR170.000 (include IDR20.000 delivery fee).

All Bakpao that I ordered were Cartoon Character Bakpao. I ordered Pandapple, Hamtaro, Pooh, My Melody, Angry Bird, Eeyore, Hello Kitty, Piglet, Pikachu and Rilakkuma bakpao. For the flavour filling, I ordered Chicken Chasiu, Black Soy Sauce Chicken, Chocolate, Chocolate & Cheese and Strawberry & Cheese.

The bakpao’ details are surprisingly awesome; It’s very similar with the cartoon character in TV. The fillings were generously given. It was so many portions of chocolate, chicken, strawberry and cheese inside the bakpao.

The most important is the taste is so delicious. They claimed that they use food coloring which is safe and these bakpao are halal.

I recommend you to try their Bakpao. It worth to try and I believed if you give these bakpao for your love one, they will be very happy.

For the details about these bakpao, you may visit their website: Bakpao Laviva.

Bibigo

Craving Korean foods while shopping at NEX Mall? You shall try Bibigo.

Bibigo offers healthy and delicious Korean dishes which from my personal view is “worth-to-wait for try”.

Went there alone during lunch, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Stew and Black Rice. Spicy Chicken Stew is their recommendation dish. Since the dish never comes with rice, I ordered black rice as well.

Beginning, I was quite upset with their service. I only ordered 1 dish and it took them more than 30 minutes to prepare. Even one of the waitress over there realized (maybe on that time my face was as black as the black rice I ordered) and took the initiative to check with me and hurriedly went back to the kitchen after that.

I can guarantee-chop that they missed out my order.  It’s a kind of funny coz there are not so many people at that time.

Finally, after around 40 minutes my dish came...

Spicy Chicken Stew is a nutritious dish cooked with locally grown whole chicken, plentiful vegetables in Kohot sauce.

This dish is surprisingly refreshingly delicious. The soup is very tasty and the combination tastes between chicken, potatoes (and other unknown secret ingredients) are awesome!!! One more thing that I need to mention here, the portion is generously enough for 2 ladies. But, ehem, I still prefer to have it alone =P

Black rice is also nice. It tastes better than the white rice.

I hope Bibigo management can improve their service and maintains their foods’ quality.

Will I go there again? If not in rush, I absolutely will go there again.

Spicy Chicken Stew S$15.00

Ketoprak

Today I want to share with you all, my lovely readers, another Indonesian traditional dish called Ketoprak.
Ketoprak IDR 8.000

Ketoprak is an Indonesian street dish which consists of lontong (rice steamed in a banana leaf), tofu, sliced cabbage, beehoon, beansprouts, crackers and sauce made from peanut and palm sugar mixed with chili, salt, garlic and sweet soybean ketchup.

Unlike pecel, we can easily find a ketoprak seller along Jakarta Street. The characteristic sound of the Ketoprak seller is they gently hit the plate using fork/spoon to announce his arrival.

In this post, I will show you the “step by step” of how to make a “so-called delicious” Ketoprak:

1. Pestle peanut and palm sugar and mixed with water, chilli, salt and garlic. You may add lesser chili padi if you don't like spicy food.

2. Cut tofu into small pieces

3. Cut lontong into small pieces

4. Put beansprout

5. Put beehoon and cut cucumber into small pieces

6. Put sweet soybean ketchup and crackers

If you have holiday in Jakarta, don't forget to try Indonesia Street Foods.

All the foods are very nice. The price is also very-very comfortable for your pocket (I can guarantee that!!) =P
